What this version of Takedown does with your content, and where its limits are.
Content and storage
Basic comparisons run in your browser. Cases you save are stored in this browser’s local storage and are not synchronized across devices. Anyone with access to this browser profile may be able to view them. You can delete individual saved cases from the workspace. Clearing site data also removes locally saved cases.
Images are processed locally for the basic comparison. Source URLs are reference fields: entering one does not fetch the page. Exported evidence files are saved to your device under your control.
Optional AI review
AI meaning comparison runs only when you request it. Your browser downloads a MiniLM model from Hugging Face and its runtime from jsDelivr, approximately 25 MB plus the runtime on first use. Those providers receive ordinary download request information, such as your IP address. Your listing content stays in your browser and is not sent to a model API. AI compares the first 1,200 characters of each combined title and description, with possible further model truncation. Similar meaning can reflect a shared subject rather than copying.
Operational data
Our hosting provider may process technical request information, such as IP address, device information, and request logs, to operate and secure the service. This preview has no advertising trackers or payment checkout. No account is required to use the workbench.
What the preview supports
Takedown compares content you supply, identifies similarity signals, and helps you prepare an evidence file and an unsent review draft. It does not continuously monitor stores, search marketplaces, verify ownership, confirm infringement, submit takedown notices, or guarantee a removal. Uploaded images may depict products, packaging, logos, or storefronts; image comparison does not identify every object or interpret legal rights.
Responsible review
Check permissions, licenses, seller authorization, and the surrounding context before taking action. An evidence export records supplied content and computed signals, not an independently captured or verified copy of a live webpage. Seek qualified advice when a rights question is uncertain.
